WHO WE ARE

Originally set up in 2018 as a project of Blessed Sacrament RC Church, The Copenhagen Street Foodbank became a registered charity in October 2023. We are dedicated to alleviating food poverty in Islington and the surrounding areas. We open our doors every Thursday afternoon to our clients, without the need for referral. Entirely run by our staff of 50+ volunteers, our organisation relies on donations of money and food.

 

WHO WE HELP

The foodbank is open to all who need its services in Islington and surrounding boroughs. There is no requirement for a referral.

WHAT WE DO

We provide essential groceries and hygiene products to take away and a warm space to enjoy refreshments.

WHERE WE ARE

The foodbank is situated in the basement beneath the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Copenhagen Street Islington, London. 

OPENING TIMES

We open weekly on Thursday between 1 pm and 3.30pm.
